Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid, have made a final €65m bid for Diego Costa, according to the Marca resports.
The reported fee would will make Brazilian-born forward Atletico Madrid’s most expensive ever signing and would allow him to once again work with his former manager Diego Simeone.
Marca made the revelations on Monday that Premier League champions will have ‘little choice’ but to accept Atletico Madrid’s final bid.
The Spain international forward has not made an appearance around 98 days, and it is likely that this number will increase before he makes a switch to Atletico Madrid in January.
Spanish giants were reportedly keen to tie up the deal earlier last week to loan out Costa to Saudi Arabia where he could play regular first-team football.
However, talks stalled, and Costa has remained a Chelsea player as it has been expected Spaniard did not return to London from his trip Brazil.
Alongside with Diego Costa another Chelsea star Pedro Rodriguez has been also linked with Stamford Bridge exit during the January transfer window, as Serie A Champions Juventus are in the hunt for the services of former Barcelona star.
