Turkish giants Galatasaray have made a late loan bid to Liverpool for 22-year-old box-to-box midfielder Marko Grujic, according to the Mirror reports.
Serbian midfielder has spent the second half of last campaign on loan to Welsh club Cardiff City and the newly promoted side would like to secure his services for another season, however, Galatasaray’s interest may lead to them missing out on talented prospect.
The Merseyside Reds are apparently big admirers of Grujic and are reluctant to sell him on a permanent basis, so a loan move may be on the cards.
As that is the case, a move to Welsh club still looks the most likely option as the Reds would like the Serbian to get regular first-team minutes in the Premier League before they decide whether or not they want to keep him for the long term.
The 22-year-old midfielder has two years left on his current deal at Anfield so he’ll need to show something soon or he will find himself leaving the Reds.
The reports from Turkey suggested that Grujic has snubbed Cardiff City as he wants to move to Galatasaray.
