Arsenal star Calum Chambers looks set to join London rivals Fulham on a season’s-long-loan spell, according to the reports from Britain.
The reports claim that the Englishman will join the recently promoted team before the deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Spanish manager has various centre-halves to choose from this campaign, including new signing Sokratis Papastathopolous and Shkodran Mustafi who will be his partner at the back.
France international defender Laurent Koscielny is expected to make a return at the end of the year, while English centre-back Rob Holding continues to be tipped as one for the future.
It all means there’s very little opportunity for Callum Chambers to make his mark this campaign.
The 23-year-old centre-back agreed on a new four-year deal in July and clearly remains firmly in the Gunners plans.
However, the club are keen for the English defender to continue his development elsewhere with regular Premier League action – something former PSG and Sevilla boss Unai Emery cannot offer this campaign.
Meanwhile, Aaron Ramsey is expected to leave the Gunners and make the switch to London rivals Chelsea.
