Former AC Milan goalkeeper Dida named Liverpool No. 1 Alisson as “one of the strongest goalkeepers in Europe” at the moment.
AC Milan legend, who spent ten years at San Siro, believes that the Merseyside Reds have made a bargain signing by securing the services of Alisson, despite spending £65million in the summer.
Having lured the ‘Brazilian keeper from Italian giants AS Roma ahead of the 2018/19 season, high expectations were placed on his shoulders, with the player having been made than a world’s most expensive goalkeeper.
The Reds head-coach Jurgen Klopp was desperate to solve problems at the goalkeeper position at Anfield after losing the Champions League to final against Real Madrid following the two sloppy displays from Loris Karius.
After the arrival at Anfield Alisson has been able to establish himself and his fine form has impressed Brazilian football legend Dida.
The 45-year old goalkeeper isn’t surprised by Alisson’s stunning form and in a interview with Liverpool Echo he said:
“I could see his qualities from the very beginning.
“He was very agile and quick to read the offensive schemes. It was very clear to me that he would become a top player .
Allison this term has secure 14 clean sheets for Liverpool from which is two more than his compatriot Ederson Moraes made for Manchester City.
Brazilian’s fine form has helped Liverpool to remain on top of the Premier League table and the Merseyside Reds are on the verge to win their first ever Premier League title this season.
