Sunderland are allegedly on the verge to complete the signing of Liverpool defensive midfielder Ovie Ejaria until the end of the campaign.
The 20-year-old midfielder who made eight first-team appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side last campaign but this term he has failed to play a single minute for the senior team.
The Sun claims that Liverpool are ready to allow Ejaria to leave the Anfield and join the Black Cats in order to secure the regular first-team football.
The England U-20 international midfielder is currently plying his trade with the Merseyside Reds Under-23s, for whom he starred in a 1-0 victory over Derby County on Monday evening.
Ejaria could follow midfielder Marko Grujic out the door at Liverpool after the Serbian midfielder has joined the Cardiff City on a season-long loan deal.
Meanwhile, Liverpool head-coach Jurgen Klopp is considering a transfer swoop for AS Monaco forward Keita Balde, according to the reports.
The Merseyside Reds have been left with a gaping hole in their offensive end following the Philippe Coutinho’s £142m transfer to Barcelona.
They’ve been linked with hosts of striker to replace the Brazilian forward including Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
However, Klopp has reportedly been put off by the French club’s £90m valuation of their talisman.
And according to the Mirror, they’re ready to turn their attention to team-mate Balde who has also emerged as a top transfer target for Arsenal with the Arsene Wenger also has moved on from Thomas Lemar after the huge asking price for his head.
