Rumoured Arsenal and Liverpool long-term Max Meyer has reportedly agreed terms to join Shalke 04 Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim this summer.
Meyer’s deal at current club Schalke 04 will expire on July 1, and the club confirmed in April that the 22-year-old playmaker will leave the team.
Max Meyer has since been banished from training, bringing a bitter end to his time at German giants whom he has joined at the age of 14.
Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool were all thought to be keen in signing the German wonderkid on a free transfer, however, Leipziger Volkszeitung reports that he has instead chosen to stay in Germany with Hoffenheim which finished third in the German top flight this campaign, ensuring Champions League qualification for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile,Manchester United have reportedly signed a preliminary agreement with Portugues giants Benfica attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca over a summer move to Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old forward is set to make a return to Benfica after a successful two-year loan spell with Turkish giants Besiktas, however, the likes of Liverpool have been heavily linked with luring Brazilian forward at Anfield since the last summer.
Besiktas boss Senol Gunes has last week confirmed that Talisca would be leaving the team for the next season and dropped a strong hint that Liverpool are favourites to secure his services, however, reports in Turkey have now suggested that the Reds bitter Premier League rivals have won the race for his signature.
