WATFORD midfield star Abdoulaye Doucoure has claimed that top Premier League clubs are tracking down him.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal are all supposedly interested in signing the 25-year-old anchorman during the summer transfer window.
Former France Under-21 has impressed at Vicarage Road this campaign and has attracted interest from hosts of European clubs.
Having joined in 2016 from Rennes, he has scored seven goals for the Hornets this campaign.
Asked about interest from Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal, Doucoure told Telefoot: “It’s true that these clubs are interested.
“But I’m at Watford for the moment, and I want to finish my season well.”
The French midfielder was then quizzed on which London club would he prefer to join.
“Arsenal or Tottenham,” Doucoure was asked during a rapid-fire Q&A.
He replied: “Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger.”
The Gunners need to strengthen their midfield area with Granit Xhaka has failed to fulfil his 35m price tag since his transfer from Monchengladbach.
The lure of Champions League football could pay a vital role in the race to secure the signature of Doucoure.
Watford currently sits 11th in the Premier League table. However, they have a strong squad and are capable of finishing the strong season.
