Brazil international forward Willian has suggested that he intends to stay at Chelsea for the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old forward has enjoyed a successful five year deal at Stamford Bridge, however, the playmaker has been strongly linked with an exit before August 9.
However, Brazil international forward has revealed that he is “very happy” with life at Stamford Bridge and is excited to work with new manager Maurizio Sarri, despite alleged interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Willian is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: “I’ve always made it very clear that I’ve always been very happy playing for Chelsea. I never said that I want to leave the club.
“This is a new era, with a new manager and I’ve had a very good conversation with him, so I hope we can enjoy a lot of victories.”
Brazilian attacker could not prevent the Blues from succumbing to a 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Willian’s stay at Stamford Bridge means Anthony Martial to remain still at Old Trafford and Wilfried Zaha’s transfer is also unlikely.
