N’Golo Kante has revealed that other teams were interested in signing him this summer, but he never considered to leave the Stamford Bridge.
The French World Cup-winning defensive midfielder who rose to prominence by playing a vital role in back-to-back title successes with the Foxes and Chelsea, prior to his heroics with Didier Deschamps team in Russia.
Paris Saint-Germain are believed to have made contact with Chelsea regarding a big-money move for French midfielder, however, Kante was unwilling to force his way out of Stamford Bridge after becoming one of the key players of the Blues.
“There was no urge to go anywhere else after the World Cup,” he told RMC Sport. “There were other clubs interested but, after talking to Chelsea, things were clear.
“The club is counting on me and I feel good. The next logical step was to continue at Chelsea.”
Kante has started all four of the Blues Premier League games this campaign, despite returning late to pre-season training following his World Cup tournaments in Russia.
