Fulham are reportedly interested in securing the services of Chelsea defender Gary Cahill during the January transfer window.
New Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri is looking for reinforcements during the January transfer window as he aims to drag the club away from danger, with the promoted Cottagers currently are at the bottom of the Premier League table there are in need for experienced and quality players.
The Blues are willing to let club talisman Cahill depart from the team n January, with the 32-year-old having fallen down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri.
Cahill’s current Chelsea deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign and Sky Sports News reports that Fulham are keen on to secure his services in January for a cut rice deal.
Ranieri is believed to have earmarked the ex-England international’s experience as being a potentially crucial element in their battle for the relegation.
However, Fulham could face competition for his signature with both West Ham United and Southampton having also been credited with an interest in Cahill.
Fulham have the worst defensive record in the Premier League this campaign and are in the market for a new defender despite signing three during the summer.
