Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair claims that Billy Gilmour has the ability to become a real legend at Stamford Bridge.
Before the coronavirus outbreak, the Blues academy products produced two man-of-the-match forms as the West London club defeated Everton and Liverpool in the space of five days.
While it stays to be seen whether Gilmour will continue to be handed regular first-team minutes when football return to actions, Sinclair has talked up the chances of Billy Gilmour to cement a place in Frank Lampard’s squad.
Sinclair told GentingBet: “Billy Gilmour has got what it takes to make it at Chelsea and he’s got an incredible future at the club – I’d put him up there as being a real Chelsea great if he gets the opportunity to play regular football for Chelsea.
“Before he even arrived in the first team this season, I was well aware of how highly he was rated after listening to what was coming out from the academy coaches on their analysis of the player. Everyone is fully aware as to how good he has been since he joined the football club.”
Sinclair spent eight years at Stamford Bridge between 1990 and 1998, playing a total of 218 games in all competitions.
