Chelsea are reportedly planning to lure a new goalkeeper this summer even if Kepa Arrizabalaga stays at the club despite exit rumours.

The West London club’s head-coach,  Frank Lampard is believed to be looking to offload Spanish stopper and bring in a new first-choice goalkeeper ahead of the next season.

The Spain international has arrived at Stamford Bridge in a record £71m transfer for a keeper back in the August 2018, however, has failed to win over Frank Lampard, who succeeded Maurizio Sarri as the Blues head-coach last year.

Finding a buyer for former Atletic Bilbao stopper is proving a struggle however, according to The Telegraph, Lampard will push ahead and sign a new goalkeeper regardless.

Chelsea are believed to be eyeing Atletico Madrid’s key man Jan Oblak, although his release clause has been at £109m, while Manchester United’s Dean Henderson could be a cheaper option for the Blues.

Kepa has kept eight clean sheets in the English top-tier for Chelsea this campaign- seven fewer than Burnley’s stopper Nick Pope, who is leading the way in the race for the Golden Glove.

Chelsea also eyeing a move for another highly-rated goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır who currently plays for Trabzonspor.
