Chelsea are keeping tabs on AC Milan defensive rock Alessio Romagnoli despite their transfer ban, according to the Calciomercato.
The West London club are unable to secure services of the highly-rated playmaker for the next two transfer windows, however, do not appear to be letting up in their transfer plans for the future, with reports claimed that the defender is on their transfer radar ahead of the next season.
Romagnoli is enjoying a fine season at Serie A giants and has helped them to work their way back into contention among the top teams in the Italian top-tier.
The 24-year-old midfielder has established his place in the starting XI and is a vital player for Gennaro Gattuso who is trying to finish the season on the fourth place and qualify for the Champions League football.
However, his fine form for AC Milan are not going unnoticed, with Calciomercato claiming that Chelsea scouts are keeping tabs on 24-year-old’s progress and ready to make an approach for his signature after the end of the current campaign.
Serie A champions Juventus are noted as potential suitors for Romagnoli, with Italian centre-back continues to impress with his fine form.
Chelsea are not the only Premier League teams in the race for his signature, either. The report claiming that Manchester United are interested to lure the Italian defender at Old Trafford.
AC Milan winger Suso has been also rumoured with a return to Premier League with both Arsenal and Chelsea have expressed interest to lure the Spain international winger away from San Siro after the end of the current campaign.
