Fulham centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Chelsea.
Mitrovic has found back of the net four times in his opening five Premier League appearences for the newly-promoted London club following his £22m summer arrival from the Newcastle United.
No player in England’s top two tiers has found back of the net two more goals than Mitrovic since he made his debut at Cottagers while initially on loan in February, and that form has allegedly drawn the attention of Stamford Bridge.
The Mirror reports that the Blues head-coach Maurizio Sarri has earmarked the 23-year-old as a potential target this summer due to lingering uncertainties about Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata future.
Chelsea could face stiff competition for his signature from a couple of unnamed Serie A teams, though.
Only Eden Hazard has found back of the net more times than Mitrovic in the Premier League so far this campaign
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also keeping tabs another Fulham star Jean Michel Seri who has joined the club this summer.
