Chelsea are set to bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu, according to the Turkish media outlet Fanatik reports.
Antonio Conte’s side are believed to plotting a £15m deal for the midfielder who has been also a transfer target for Arsenal.
However, Premier League giants Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Calhanoglu in action against Cologne earlier last month.
However, it’s believed that Antonio Conte’s staff weren’t the only Premier League spies in attendance as Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton and Man United were tracking his progress and they are all ready to battle Chelsea in the race for his signature.
However, despite the offers from hosts of European clubs Chelse are frontrunners in the race for Spain international forward.
The 22-year-old midfielder has already racked up 26 caps for his country and found the net against England where Chelsea scouts have also sitting in the stands.
Turkish international midfielder has been signed from Hamburg in a £12.5m deal back in 2014 and since then he becomes a key player for Bayer Leverkusen.
Since making the move, he’s made 74 appearances for the club and bagged 15 goals and last season’s his free-kicks has been tremendous.
