Chelsea have reportedly informed Borussia Dortmund that they have slapped a £50m price tag on-loan forward Michy Batshuayi,
The Belgium international has played his last game for Borussia Dortmund half-loan spell following the ankle injury, but his stunning form since the transfer to Dortmund has seen German giants to sign Belgian forward as a long-term replacement for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Batshuayi impressed during his 14 outings at the Westfalenstadion, though, scoring nine goals in all – five of those coming in his first three games, this campaign in total Belgian forward has played 40-games where he has found the back of the net for 21-times.
Dortmund are keen to make his loan deal permanent before next campaign, but the London Evening Standard reported that they might be priced out of a move, as the defending Premier League champions want £17m more than they paid Marseille to lure him at Stamford Bridge back in 2016.
The report indicates that Dortmund do have the cash to spend, though, having offloaded Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a £56m deal at the turn of the year, and they are in strong negotiations with Chelsea over Batshuayi’s transfer.
