Premier League defending champions, Chelsea have closed the door on a deal for Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes.
According to the Don Balon Chelsea aren’t fussed about signing of Barcelona’s out of favour midfielder.
It’s reported that PSG and Atletico Madrid have also turned down the chance to sign former Valencia midfielder.
The only European giants expressing still interest in Gomes has been Serie A defending champions Juventus according to the Don Balon reports.
Gomes’ future in Barcelona looks in serious doubt – however, a move to another elite club seems unlikely following his poor form.
Reports claimed last month that Portugal international midfielder remains a target for Tottenham boss Maurico Pochettino.
The Portuguese star was on the verge of a move to north London in August.
However, a transfer failed to materialise as Tottenham Hotspur tried to get a deal through on the deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Portugal international midfielder has made 5 La Liga appearances for La Liga giants this term and he made a late substitute appearance against Olympiakos last night.
However, he’s widely expected to leave the club during the January transfer window.
