Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell full-back Marcos Alonso to Inter Milan to help fund a transfer swoop for Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha.
According to Don Balon, Marcos Alonso could link up with his old manager Antonio Conte at the San Siro, with Chelsea then prepared to use the money from his sale on signing Wilfried Zaha for around £76.5million.
It would be fair to say that Marcos Alonso has not been at his best for the Blues for some time now, so it makes sense that the west London side are prepared to let him leave shortly.
The Spaniard shone under Antonio Conte while he was still manager at Stamford Bridge, so a reunion at Inter Milan could be just what he needs to get his career back on track.
The Blues, meanwhile, would no doubt benefit from having extra money to spend on an attacking talent like Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international striker has shone in the Premier League down the years, showing he could be a hugely valuable addition to this Chelsea squad.
Frank Lampard was dealt the blow of losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer, with the club banned from the signing of players at the time.
Wilfried Zaha could now be the ideal replacement for Eden Hazard if Chelsea can succeed in getting these two key bits of business done.
