According to the Spanish newspaper Don Balon. Chelsea are lining up a huge contract offer to convince Eden Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge. And according to the same sources, Roman Abramovich is willing to offer the forward an “astronomical” £288,000-a-week contract worth £15m pen year.
If the 27-year-old Belgian accepts the terms of this long-term contract, he will become club’s highest earner.
Eden Hazard joined the Blues from LOSC Lille back in 2012 after Chelsea won the Champions League. The Belgian International appeared in 285 games in all competitions and has become one of the top class players in Europe, scoring 105 goals in 161 Premier League games. It is easy to understand why Real Madrid want to sign him so desperately.
Los Blancos were in the running for Hazard’s signature before he chose to join Chelsea six years ago, and they always had an eye on Belgian Star. The pressure from La Liga giant may have also affected on Chelsea’s decision to offer such kind of contract.
If this summer Real Madrid decides to make an official bid, the 27-year-old superstar will currently worth around £124m.
Hazard has spent six years at Stamford Bridge and he will share the bonds with the team until 2020.
