Chelsea are reportedly trying to secure services of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie from AC Milan as part of a swap deal that could see £40m flop Tiemoue Bakayoko making a permanent move to the opposite side.
Bakayoko is currently on loan at AC Milan after failing to adapt to the Englis football during his one and only season at Stamford Bridge he is having an impressive season for Gerrano Gattuso’s side and ready to make his loan spell permanent.
The French midfielder has improved in Serie A a slow start to his loan spell and recently revealed that he ‘dreams’ to remain at San Siro.
AC Milan Sporting director Leonardo claimed that the team will only be able to afford Bakayoko if they finish 2018/19 season on top four of the Serie A table and secure promotion to the Champions League, however, The Express reported that the Blues are willing to negotiate terms with the fallen Serie A giants.
Chelsea will allow the flop midfielder to make his move to AC Milan permanent if Kessie makes move to the opposite side.
The report suggests that the Rossoneri will consider the offer as they could avoid UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations, which has forced their hand in the transfer market recently.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are eyeing move for another AC Milan star Suso who has been one of the key players of Gennaro Gattuso’s side that are fighting for a top-four finish this season.
