Tottenham have emerged as the latest Premier League team to have expressed interest in Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba.

Manchester United and Chelsea have followed Barcelona’s talented left-back since the January transfer window.

And now Tottenham are interested in signing the Spain international defender.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Spaniard has not been offered a new deal at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona’s current deal expires in 2020, meaning he has just two years left at Nou Camp.

And Alba is believed to have a buyout clause worth £53m, which has put Man Utd and Chelsea on Alert.

The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho was looking at Danny Rose. However, Starsport believed he has turned his attention way from the Tottenham defender.

The Blues have had to hold off on transfer activity thus far following their managerial situation.

And AS add Spurs step ahead of any rivals by lining up an offer for after the World Cup.

The 29-year-old defender is currently away at the tournament with the Spain squad, with his future at Catalan club has been up in the air following his wage demands.

However, the ex-Valencia man, who has been at Nou Camp since 2012, has spoken out over his future in Russia.

He said: “I’m very happy at Barca. If it depended on me, I would stay at Barcelona my whole life. But it doesn’t depend only on me, it’s also what the club wants.

“It also depends on my performances, which this season have been very good, but I don’t see myself away from Barca.”
