Done Deal: Chelsea Long-Term Target Signs Five-year Contract With German Club

Chelsea long-term target Leon Bailey has officially signed a new five-year deal with German club Bayer Leverkusen.

Bundesliga outfits have confirmed that Jamaican forward has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract following interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Blues were strongly linked to Leon Bailey earlier this summer, with the forward now committing his future to German giants Bayer Leverkusen.

The 21-year-old forward has found back of the net 12 goals last term and has been rumoured to a number of big teams across Europe.

The forward has signed for Geran giants from Belgian club Genk in 2016 after founding back of the net 16 times in two campaigns for the Belgian side.

England are believed to be looking into his availability at international level, as he potentially qualifies through his parents.

Meanwhile, Chelsea also keeping tabs on another Bundesliga forward Robert Lewandowski who has been strongly linked with an exit from Allianz Arena in the recent years with Alvaro Morata yet to prove his top class Chelsea could reignite interest in Polish forward during the January transfer window.

World-Class No.17 Expects to Quickly Adapt to Maurizzio Sarri's System

Mateo Kovacic has revealed that he expects to quickly adapt to life under his new manager Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea as he feels wanted by both the club and the Italian specialist.

The Croatia international midfielder has a three-year contract at Real Madrid and the joined the Blues last week on a season-long loan deal.

Having been used sparingly last campaign, with more than half of his La Liga appearences coming from the bench, Croatian midfielder is glad to be at a club where he will be able to secure regular first-team football.

The 24-year-old told Sport Klub TV: “I am happy because of victory, the most important is that team played good.

“I feel fine, I miss rhythm but I just joined the team. I am working fine and improving. It was important for me after three years without continuity of play in Madrid, to find a team and coach that want me, and that happened in Chelsea.

“The club who wanted me and the coach that believes in me. That is what I need. Sarri knows me for a long time and I watched a lot of his matches. He loves to play, the team is great, with a lot of big players. I don’t expect it to be hard for me to adapt.”

Chelsea Could Make Shock Move For 27-year-old Attacking Midfielder

Man Utd and Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a move for Arsenal attacking midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
