Premier League side Newcastle United are reportedly set to complete their first summer deal – with versatile midfielder Kyle Scott tipped to sign for club from Chelsea.
A British tabloid newspaper The Sun report that Kyle, whose contract at Chelsea is set to expire in the summer transfer window, will join the Magpies in what will be their first signing into the transfer market in the summer.
Kyle was once a highly-rated prospect at the Blues, having been at the club since the age of ten.
He has spent his professional career with the Premier League side, and was part of Italian coach Antonio Conte’s first-team side last campaign – forming part of the travelling roster for pre-campaign friendlies and UEFA Europa League clashes.
The player went on to make his senior team debut for the club the previous season, coming off the bench in an FA Cup match with Hull City.
But Kyle has since failed to win a fresh deal at Stamford Bridge having failed to catch the eye of Antonio’s replacement, Maurizio Sarri.
Indeed, the midfielder spent the early part of the 2019 on loan at Dutch outfit Telstar in an attempt to gain further main team experience.
And now it looks like he is set to make a permanent switch to St James’s Park, with the potential deal set to be finalised once the 21-year-old star’s contract with the Blues expires in July.
Kyle, who has represented the USA at U20 level, would likely form part of Newcastle United’s under-23 squad.
Serie A champions, Juventus are reportedly on the verge of announcing the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach.
The Italian manager has just guided the Blues to the Europa League title – which represents the Italian’s first trophy in the dugout – however, there has been frequent speculation regarding the future of former Napoli boss.
The Blues have also been rumoured with replacing Maurizio Sarri, despite his successful first season at Stamford Bridge, although it has been previously reported that the West London club were intent on receiving compensation to release the ex-Napoli man from his contract.
However, according to The Guardian, Italian champions appear to have secured the services of Sarri after the Blues relented with their financial demands.
The report suggests that Sarri’s agent Fali Ramadani held talks on Friday to seal the switch for his client.
The Blues could move for Derby County boss Frank Lampard if Sarri departs from Stamford Bridge and the Chelsea legend who has on the brink to guide the team to the Premier League earlier last season.
Meanwhile, Turkish giants Fenerbahce have reportedly made loan move for Chelsea in-form forward Tammy Abraham.
According to Turkish outlet Star, relayed in an article by Sport Witness, Turkish heavyweights have offered to take the West London club attacker on loan for the upcoming campaign after his impressive 2018/19 season with Aston Villa.
Abraham has found back of the net 26 times for Villa as they won promotion back to the English top-tier, with Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki the only player to score more goals than the Blues centre-forward.
Chelsea want to secure services of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey this summer if they manage to avoid their transfer ban,
The West London club filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport and are hopeful their transfer ban will be suspended during the appeal process.
The Blues have long been rumoured with securing the services of Bailey and have revived their interest in luring the 21-year-old attacker at Stamford Bridge ahead of the next season.
Jamaica international forward is valued at around £80million by his team and that figure would make him the Blues most expensive signing of all time.
Chelsea are on the hunt for attacking players with Eden Hazard has officially committed his future to Rela Madrid.
Belgian attacker switch was confirmed this week and the Blues will immediately collect £88m for their star player.
Chelsea want versatile wingers and believe Bailey to be an ideal addition for them despite enduring a difficult 2018/19 season in Bundesliga.
Bailey was courted by a host of top teams, including the Blues, before he signed for Bayer Leverkusen back in January 2017, however, managed to found back of the net just five times in the 2018/19 season.
Christian Pulisic is already a Chelsea player who has joined the Blues from Dortmund and Brazilian forward David Neres also believed to be on top of Maurizio Sarri’s wishlist ahead of the next season.
But, all of Chelsea’s transfer plans depend on the verdict of the court.
