Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Serie A giants AC Milan.
Last summer, Spaniard has moved to Stamfrod Bridge Stadium in a £65m deal from Real Madrid, however, the 24-year-old has managed to score only 15 goals in 47 appearances in his debut season at London club.
The Spaniard’s form has allegedly led to interest from Serie A defending champions Juventus, however, according to Sky in Italy, AC Milan are ready to join the race for 24-year-old forward.
AC Milan are likely to have to sell several players this summer to fulfill their commitments with FFP, however, a loan-to-buy arrangement could potentially suit the Gerrano Gatuso’s side, who have qualified for next season’s Europa League.
However, with the Blues possibly having to wheel and deal in the transfer market, the West London giants may not entertain a deal unless they recoup close to the fee that they have paid to Real Madrid in the summer.
Morata still has just over four years left on his currrent deal with Chelsea.
The Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal had an up and down season at Bayern Munich.
Vidal was part of the Chile squad that failed to qualify for the World-Cup
But, Vidal can point to a Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich to soften the blow of not playing for in Russia.
Chile international midfielder is widely expected to leave the Bavarians in the coming weeks and increasingly is being rumoured with a move to Premier League as Man utd and Chelseas are likely to be his next destination.
In recent years, Vidal has emerged as no.1 transfer target for Chelsea since Antonio Conte arrived at Stafmord Bridge.
However, with Conte set to leave the Bayern, Vidal has another reason meaning he doesn’t want to go to Chelsea.
According to Chilean journalist Maks Cárdenas, Vidal is no longer interested to make Chelsea move as they have missed out Champions League football.
Manchester United remain Vidal’s favoured destination.
Bayern Munich would sell Vidal for €50m and Manchester United could gladly pay the asking price for Chilean who could be an ideal replacement for Michael Carrick.
Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a massive blow in their transfer pursuit of Man Utd winger Anthony Martial this summer.
The 22-year-old winger hasn’t been a regular part of Jose Mourinho’s first-team squad in the recent games. However, it seems Chelsea could miss out the signing of Frenchman.
This is because, while United are willing to consider selling Martial at the same time Jose Mourinho is against to sent him to their Premier League rivals, according to Daily Mail.
This seems a wise strategy from the Red Devils, with manager Jose Mourinho knowing all about the potential damage that he has suffered at Chelsea when he sold Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah.
Both are now among the best players in the Premier League and have played starring roles this campaign for Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively.
Martial seems another who could go down that route and the Mail report of interest from both Chelsea and Tottenham in the 22-year-old former Monaco forward.
However, they also state Napoli and Juventus could be in the running and a move abroad looks more likely for the man rated by the Red Devils at around £70million, according to the Sun reports.
