Barcelona have reportedly agreed on a fee for Spanish club Las Palmas starlet Pedri who has been also a transfer target for Chelsea.
While the Catalan giants have seemingly been focusing their attentions on first-team additions during the summer, it appears that work has been conducted behind the scenes with regards to the future.
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, the La Liga champions have been successful with their attempt and secured the services of Pedri, who has been 16 years old.
Despite his inexperience, the talented forward has already made three outings for Spanish outfits Las Palmas this campaign, and the Catalan club are happy for the second-tier side to keep the prospect for the remainder of the season.
The report claims that Spanish champions, who are believed to have seen off Chelsea to sign Pedri, agreed to pay €5m (£4.54m)
Meanwhile, Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Sporting Lisbon forward Raphina, according to the report which was published by Football London.
The report added that scouts from the Blues were seen in attendance during Lisbon’s 3-1 win over Portimonese.
The 22-year-old Brazilian forward was the best player for his side during the game and helped them to secure the win.
Chelsea head-coach Frank Lampard was prevented from making any new players this summer due to the Blues two transfer window ban and also had to make do without the services of Eden Hazard who left the club this summer to join La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The West London club are currently not playing an attractive brand of football and will struggle to gain a top-four finish or challenge for trophies.
They cannot, blame Lampard for the current situation.
The wing is one area that Chelsea are in need to strengthen their squad and Raphina seems to be their transfer target next summer.
