Chelsea are reportedly planning to bolster their right-back variants in January, with the west Londoners lining up Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi as a possible signing.
According to the Sun, the Blues are confident in their efforts to have their transfer embargo cut short, something that will allow them to land players in the winter window should the board be successful with this.
And amidst this news, it looks like Lampard’s side are already eyeing up potential targets should their transfer ban come to an end in the winter.
As per Don Balon, Frank is keen to bolster his right-back options in January, with Hakimi and Youcef Atal being lined up as possible recruits by the Blues.
It’s also noted that Zinedine has given Real Madrid the green light to sell the Moroccan star to the Blues, with it being stated that the Galacticos could bring in as much as €35 million for the defender.
Achraf has spent a fair part of his Real Madrid career on loan at Borussia Dortmund, a club which the Morocco international has impressed with during the star’s time there.
The 20-year-old full-back spent last year with the German giants and will continue to do so this season, as he looks to gain valuable main team experience with the Bundesliga side.
Hakimi is able to play at left-back, right-back and even at right midfielder, versatility that will definitely come in handy for Frank should he end up moving to Stamford Bridge in a few months time.
