Premier League big boys Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will go head-to-head to sign Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard in the summer, according to reports
The Sunday People reckon that the England international is locked in contract talks with Red Devils, he wants a pay rise but negotiations have stalled.
The People claim north London giants Arsenal and Tottenham along with Chelsea are on alert in case talks don’t go as planned.
Antonio Conte is keen to make a summer bid for Lingard, as the 24-year-old is regarded as being able to play both as a wing-back and as a forward in the Blues 3-4-3 formation.
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger searching for a quality replacement for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is expected to leave during the upcoming transfer window, with Liverpool said to be interested.
However, it won’t be an easy task for either Premier League giants to secure Lingard’s services. The €21m-rated midfielder may not be one of the most glamorous attacking options in United squad at the moment, but he’s evolved into a very handy option for the Special One.
Despite the lack of playing time, Lingard has been impressive for the 20-time English champions and has had a hand in seven goals in 25 appearances in all competitions this season.
