Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are hoping to tie Manchester United and Chelsea long-term target Bruno Fernandes to a new deal.
According to a report from O Jogo, the Sporting planning to extend the playmakers stay at the club amid interest from top European teams.
Frederico Varandas, the club’s president, is working hard to negotiate with the agents of Bruno Fernandes over a new deal.
However, it is reported that Fernandes himself is only open to discussions about his future after the end of the current campaign.
Manchester United and Chelsea have all been rumoured with moves for the playmaker. However, he is unlikely to arrive on the cheap as Sporing value him around £86m.
Fernandes is enjoying a brilliant 2018/19 season in the Premier League and it is easy to see why the teams are fighting for his signature.
The 24-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder has managed to found back of the net 24-times also providing 14 assists is showing himself to be one of the best players in Europe at the moment.
Meanwhile, Chelsea eyeing move for another Portugues League star Josip Vukovic.
The 26-year-old has been in stunning form this season and has attracted interest from hosts of European teams including Chelsea.
Vukovic has something of a journeyman career and has played for four teams since 2017 and now he could be also on his way to Chelsea after the season ends.
It seems as though his performances in Portuguese Primeira Liga have caught the eyes of Chelsea scouts, with TalkSPORT reported that the three Premier League clubs are interested in making move for his signature.
