Wolverhampton Wanderers head-coach Nuno Espirito Santo has emerged as a top target for Chelsea this summer to replace Maurizio Sarri.

Italian head-coach has been in danger to lose his job ahead of the next season following the Blues poor performance n the English top-tier. Chelsea are currently six in the Premier league table two points separating them from Tottenham Hotspur. however, they have one game behind.

Former Napoli manager has been given a stay of execution following a three-game winning streak in all competitions that has helped to get the Blues season back on tracks.

The 60-year-old is still fighting to remain in charge of the Blues, however, reports from Britain suggest that Wolves head-coach Nuno Espirito is a possible option for the West London club if they decide to sack Sarri after the end of the 2019/20 season.

Nuno is on course to finish this season on the 7th place in his debut in the Premier League, having guided Wolves into the Premier League from the Championship earlier last year.

Wolves have earned rave reviews for their style of play this campaign, which has helped them regularly upset the top six, including Chelsea back in December and yesterday after managing to secure 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will reportedly be able to finalise Gonzalo Higuain permanent switch or extend his loan contract despite a transfer ban.

Argentina international forward has arrived at Stamford Bridge from AC Milan in January for the remainder of the season, however, the Blues have options to make his move permanent for £31m.
