The agent of French forward Anthony Martial believes his player is a long way from signing a new deal with Man United.
The 23-year-old forward is one of many Red Devils players reportedly not seeing eye to eye with Jose Mourinho, as they continue to endure a torrid time of things this campaign.
Mourinho has been sacked from his job earlier today and it could see Frenchman still to remain at Old Trafford.
Martial was a late substitute in Sunday’s 3-1 loss away to the Merseyside Reds and he has been rumoured with both Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times.
In an interview with RMC Sport, agent of the 23-year-old star, Philippe Lamboley, claimed that he doesn’t think he will sign a new long-term contract with the Red Devils.
“I am very pessimistic about a positive outcome of the discussions.
“They’ve already made several offers that do not meet our expectations.
“We are far from an agreement for the time being.”
Martial is a hugely talented forward currently being held back by his head coach and he has the ability to add genuine firepower to any team in the Premier League.
Chelsea require additions in that area and Martial seems to be an ideal candidate.
