Chelsea and Man Utd have reportedly been given hope of securing services of Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho from La Liga giants Barcelona this summer.
Former Inter Mila nand Liverpool forward has completed a dream move to Camp Nou during the January transfer window after Spanish giants agreed to pay Liverpool an initial £105million to secure his services.
While he won the three titles in the first few months of his career at La Liga giants, Coutinho is now being rumoured with departure from the club after a frustrating season at Nou Camp.
The 26-year-old has found back of the net four times, with Ousmane Dembele often starting ahead of heam this season.
Barcelona hoped Coutinho would return his form before Frenchman was sidelined but that has not materialised and the ex-Liverpool midfielder was taken off in the second half of the Copa del Rey game against their bitter rivals Real Madrid and Valverde did the same against Atletic Bilbao last night.
And according to Marca, Barcelona are now considering the sale of their record signing.
It is reported that te club chiefs are still backing him to turn things around, however, now they won’t refuse to sell him if the right offer comes.
Man United have held the interest in Brazilian playmaker for a number of years, while the Blues are preparing for Belgian stars likely exit.
Meanwhile, Chelsea legend and Maurizio Sarri’s assistant coach Gianfranco Zola could become the next manager of the Blues if Italian manager gets sacked from his current job after 6-0 defeat to Manchester City.
According to the Sport Mediaset reports, Zola could remain at Stamford Bridge and become interim manager before the end of the 2018/19 season.
The report suggested that Gianfranco Zola could be a short-term replacement for Sarri to fix for Chelsea before searching a new long-term manager.
