Chelsea give Turkish giants Fenerbahce green light to sign defender in January transfer
Defending Premier League champions have given green light to sign 23-year-old defender Rahman Baba on loan during the January transfer window.
Fanatik report that the Yellow Canaries are keen on to lure Ghana international defender in January and already made contact with the Blues over his availability.
The same source claim that the Istanbul giants want Baba on loan with the buyout clause option.
The 23-year-old full-back spent last campaign on loan at Bundesliga giants Schalke, however, has failed to make a single appearance for the Blues this term.
Turkish giants have made strengthening their full-back option a priority in the winter.
The Canaries have struggled defensively this campaign and signing the Blues defender could help them to bounce back after a slow start.
Fenerbahce have conceded the most in the top seven this campaign – 16.
Despite starting the seasons as among the title favourites Fenerbahce are currently 7th in the league on 17 points after 11 games.
Baba Rahman would be expected to play for Fenerbahce over the second half of the 2017/18 season.
Ghana international has 24 caps for his country since making debut back in 2014
