Chelsea face tough competition from Arsenal and Manchester United to sign Bundesliga outfits Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican winger has attracted interest from across Europe this campaign and defending Premier League champions were thought to be leading the race. However, their opening bid of £22m was rejected by the German club.
Bailey has joined the Bundesliga outfits during the January transfer window of the last season and has paid back the club’s faith in him after his impressive form founding the net for eight times in 16 games this campaign..
The Blues have watched him on a number of occasions in the last 18 months. However, their bid has alerted Premier League rivals Arsenal and Man Utd, according to the Mirror
Leverkusen value Bailey at around £40m and the Premier League trio will have to splash the money to lure talented winger in England.
Bailey is certainly keen on making the switch to the Premier League and revealed this week that he has a ‘dream club’ in England.
‘Of course, I have a dream club, but I will not tell,’ said Bailey.
‘Basically, England was and still is my dream, and if I keep working hard, I’m sure it will work someday.’/
