Chelsea are reportedly ready to join their London rivals Arsenal in hte hunt for the services of Feyenoord’s playmaker Orkun Kokcu.
The Turkey Under-21 international has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Eredivise before the current campaign and was declared null and void due to the coronavirus pandemic, founding back of the net two goals and providing four assists from 22 league games.
However, the 19-year-old has playmaker has allegedly informed the Dutch giants about his desire to depart from the club, and Arsenal have supposedly opened talks with the player’s entourage regarding a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium.
However, according to Voetbal International’s Martijn Krabbendam, the Blues are firmly in the mix for the talented midfielder’s services. .
The report also suggests that Kokcu has garnered plenty of interest from other teams across Europe, with Serie A teams Atalanta BC and AS Roma are also keeping on the tabs while Spanish pair Real Betis and Sevilla eyeing a move for his services.
Kokcu will see his current contract at Feyenoord expire at the end of the 2022-23 season and with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on to lure him in the Premier League ahead of the next campaign.
