Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has reportedly emerged as shock January transfer target for direct Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Brazil international has been restricted to a couple of top-flight starts since the arrival of ose Mourinho at Old Trafford but has featured just three times in all competitions since August.
Pereira is due to be out of his current deal with the Red Devils at the end of the season, though the Reds have the option to extend his stay further 12 months.
According to The Mirror, there is interest from teams in Europe in the English top flight and abroad, with Chelsea and Arsenal both pondering an approach for his signature.
Gunners transfer chief Sven Mislintat is believed to have picked out the 22-year-old as an ideal midfield addition, while Chelsea also see plenty of potential in the player, despite Mourinho’s decision to prefer Ander Herrera and Fred over him at the midfield position.
Monaco, Inter Milan and Valencia are also in the hunt for his services meaning that Chelsea and Arsenal should break the bank for his signature.
