Chelsea are reportedly confident that England international winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new long-term deal with the club.
The 18-year-old, who is yet to feature for the Blues this season following the Achilles injury, will see his current deal with Lampard’s side end after the 2019/20 season.
German champions were heavily linked with a move for Hudson-Odoi during the January transfer window amid suggestions that the teenager was keen to depart from Stamford Bridge in search of pastures new.
However, according to football.london, the English giants now have ‘no fears’ that the Odoi will leave as a fresh contract is set to be announced.
The Blues are reportedly preparing to hand the starlet a new five-year deal which could be worth in the region of £180,000 per week to reflect his importance to the West London club.
Hudson-Odoi, who has been with the Frank Lampard’s side since the age of six, is expected to make his return from the Achilles injury later this month.
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has suggested that his client sees his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
After signing from Napoli last summer, Italy international midfielder endured a mixed first season at Stamford Bridge, despite featuring regularly under the previous manager Maurizio Sarri.
However, the 27-year-old star has been provided with more flexibility in the middle of the park since the arrival of Frank Lampard, leading to his agent to claim that the Italian could stay in West London until 2023.
Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: “We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea, similar to when he joined Hellas Verona and then Napoli. There are five years left on his contract and let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years.”
