Chelsea have reportedly knocked back Dortmund’s attempts to sign Belgium international forward Michy Batshuayi as he expected to play a part next campaign.
Batshuayi has spent the second half of the last season on loan with the Borussia Dortmund impressing with nine goals in 14 games before missing the final month following the ankle injury.
According to The Mirror, German giants were hoping to take the Belgium international forward on a permanent deal this summer, however, Chelsea have blocked their approach.
The same report indicates that the BVB may now make their interest in fellow Blues forward Alvaro Morata more concrete, with the 25-year-old striker more likely to be offloaded ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The Blues hope to have Batshuayi back to full fitness before the arrival of their new manager, who is expected to be appointed within weeks after Roman Abramovic officially axes Antonio Conte from his job.
