AC Milan centre-back and reported Chelsea long-term Alessio Romagnoli is one of two defenders that Man United head-coach Jose Mourinho wants to secure his services in January.
According to ESPN, Man Utd head-coach has shortlisted both Alessio Romagnoli and Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar, with the Red Devils boss looking to raid his ex-side to sign the impressive Slovakian.
Romagnoli is reportedly also on Maurizio Sarri’s wishlist during the January transfer window, with the Chelsea chiefs still keen to strengthen his services.
The Milan defender joins summer target Daniele Rugani on the Italian’s shortlist, with concerns over the long-term futures of both Gary Cahill and David Luiz.
Both Chelsea and Man Utd have struggled defensively this campaign, however, Jose Mourinho is keen to spend big in the new year amid concerns over his future at Old Trafford.
Romagnoli has been impressive for the Italian giants in the recent years and has cemented himself as one of Italy’s most impressive defenders.
