Luton Town have announced on their official club website that Chelsea attacking midfielder and former Huddersfield Town and Leeds United loanee Izzy Brown will spend the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Kenilworth Road.

In an active transfer deadline day, EFL Championship newcomers Luton Town have purchased three new players, landing a trio on loan for the upcoming term.

The Blues man Izzy Brown will spend the campaign on loan with the Hatters, as will Manchester City youngster Luke Bolton and Aston Villa defender James Bree.

Stoke City were understood to be keeping a close eye on the Chelsea academy graduate earlier this week, but it’s Luton Town who have pounced to bring the player in.

The attacker comes in to add further depth and competition to Graeme Jones’ attacking variants, with Izzy holding the ability to play out wide as well as in a number 10 role in behind the centre-forward.

He came through the academy at Stamford Bridge and has since spent his career on loan, mainly in England’s second tier.

After one season on loan with the Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, Brown has spent the last three seasons in the EFL Championship.

The 23-year-old star has played for Leeds United, Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town.

In his time at Elland Road the previous season, Brown went through rehabilitation for a knee injury before suffering from further injury woes, scuppering his chances of making an impression in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Now, he’ll be hoping to impress in his time at Kenilworth Road to help Graeme Jones’s side maintain their Championship status and make an impact upon their return to the second tier.
