Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic has hit back at claims that Maurizio Sarri’s team have launched a big-money move Luka Jovic.
According to the Bild. earlier this week Chelsea were favourites to sign prolific forward with Barcelona and Real Madrid among the known admirers.
However, a clearly unhappy Eintracht chief Bobic has suggested that no bid has been made for Jovic and ruled out his exit this summer.
Speaking to WAZ, Bobic asked about the future of talented forward he answered:
“So far, this is just typical leaves rustling with zero content. It did not scare me, but it surprised me, first it was Barcelona, then it was Real Madrid, now Chelsea, who’s tomorrow, Juve, the day after tomorrow, someone else, that was a bit too much.”
The 21-year-old has been attracting a wealth of interest after his stunning form for Eintracht Frankfurt where he has managed to score 14-goals Bundesliga goals this season
With 14 league goals, he has been Bundesliga’s top scorer this campaign, ahead of Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.
The Blues may be in the market for a new forward this summer if they decide not to make Gonzalo Higuain deals permanent, however, it looks unlikely to see Jovic at Stamford Bridge next season with Frankfurt keen on to keep him at least for one more year.
Meanwhile, another Bundesliga forward Jadon Sancho has been rumoured with a switch to Premier League and Chelsea are among the teams to have expressed interest in his signature.
