Liverpool are reportedly prepared to trigger the release clause of Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Julian Brandt in order to lure him at Anfield ahead of the next season.
The Reds came close to securing the services of the Germany international forward before last season, only for Bundesliga club to persuade him to remain and forced him to sign a new deal.
Brandt went on to play a part in all three of his national side’s World Cup group games and he has made 32 appearences for Bayer Leverkusen this term.
With Jurgen Klopp still looking to strengthen his midfield and attacking options, though, Bild claimed that the 22-year-old has been on the German managers shortlist.
The report suggests that Julian Brandt has a small release clause of just £21.6m, making him an affordable for any team in the Premier League.
The majority of Brandt’s 204 games he has played as a winger and could increase the competition at the Klopp’s attacking squad.
Meanwhile, The Merseyside Reds were interested in recruiting the creative midfielder last summer before he suffered a knee injury before the world-cup tournament.
Argentina international midfielder has spent eight months on the sidelines, however, has returned recently and ready to fight for a place in the London outfits starting XI.
And Football Fancast claims the Reds are ready to renew their interest in Lanzini when the summer transfer window will be re-opened.
