Borussia Dortmund will reportedly challenge their direct Bundesliga rivals,  Bayern Munich for Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi if they agree to sell Jadon Sancho this summer.

England international winger has been heavily linked with a switch back to the Premier League following a breakthrough season at Signal Iduna Park, with Manchester United believed to be particularly interested in securing the services of 19-year-old forward.

Dortmund have reportedly slapped a £100m price tag on Sancho’s head, and The Mirror reports that they would use the bulk of that money to secure services of Hudson-Odoi as an ideal replacement.

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s future at Chelsea is uncertain, with the 18-year-old growing frustrated by his lack of first-team minutes under Maurizio Sarri.

The starlet has earned a maiden call-up to the England squad despite never having started a Premier League game for the Blues, with his form in the Europa League and cup competitions enough to impress Gareth Southgate.

Chelsea turned down three Bayern Munich bid for Hudson-Odoi from during the January transfer window, as well as rejecting a transfer request from himself player, however, they are braced for renewed interest when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.

The West London club’s situation is complicated by uncertainty surrounding the future of Belgian superstar Eden Hazard – whose exit would give Hudson-Odoi chance to play regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge  – as well as their two-window transfer ban which has been appealed.

The Blues would risk losing Hudson-Odoi for a cut-price deal if they refuse to sell their starlet does not sign a new deal and Borussia Dortmund are hopeful that they could use the situation.

The attacker is believed to be encouraged by the progress his friend Sancho and would be keen on to follow his footsteps and join Borussia Dortmund.
