Catalina giant are not interested in signing Brazilian forward, according to reports, as the Barcelona look to find Luis Suarez’s successor.

Speculation had recommended that Firmino was on the club’s transfer list because he has progressed under Jurgen Klopp been so exciting since he signed from Hoffenheim in 2015.
Merseyside Reds fans had been worried that Ernesto Valverde could approach the Reds for Firmino, with the club not likely to want to let him leave.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness), Barca prefers to persuade Tottenham’s English superstar Harry Kane that the Brazil international.
The report claims that ‘there is no consensus’ for Barcelona to pursue the 28-year old, notwithstanding his reputation as one of the leading forwards in world football.
Liverpool and their fans are certainly pleased to hear that, and despite that the report doesn’t describe why Barcelona aren’t interested, fans absolutely won’t care.
Liverpool fans will rightfully be pleased to see this story because Firmino’s importance for the club still goes understated.
While Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah take the headlines with their effective respective goal scores, Firmino is the man who doesn’t look but makes everything together for the Reds.
It’s hard to realize why Barcelona aren’t interested in the Brazilian, but Liverpool fans surely won’t worry if it means they keep one of Klopp’s star men.
