Barcelona are reportedly readying a surprise potential swoop for Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac as the club look to add depth in that position in the ongoing transfer window.
The 25-year-old star has not exactly looked the most convincing player since arriving at the Emirates Stadium nearly two seasons ago, and one imagines most supporters would gladly see the club sell him this summer.
According to a Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Sead is one of a host of options Blaugrana are considering, with Gunners asking for around £22m or possibly slightly less for the defender.
Arsenal could probably use that amount of money to add to their transfer kitty, with Sead far from the most important player in this roster.
Still, one imagines Blaugrana would surely only turn to the Bosnian star as a backup, with some bigger players also mentioned by Mundo Deportivo as being on their wishlist of targets.
Scottish outfit Celtic ace Kieran Tierney is one name mentioned by the report, as is Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain star Juan Bernat.
In other news, Liverpool have reportedly appeared as favourites to land LOSC Lille winger and Arsenal target Nicolas Pepe throughout the summer transfer window.
Nicolas has just enjoyed an impressive season in Ligue 1, with the Ivorian star’s 22 goals and 11 assists helping Les Dogues to second place in the French top-flight standings.
According to a French newspaper and TV channel L’Equipe, Liverpool have told Ligue 1 outfit that they are ready to meet their asking price, which is said to be £70 million.
