Arsenal have been heavily rumoured with a move for Brazilian forward Malcom in recent times, however, according to claims from Italy as Roma have joined the race for his signature.
The North London club were touted as the team ‘most interested’ in recruiting Brazilian from the Catalan club last month. Recent reports, but, have indicated that the Gunners interest is not as strong as previously.
However, it seems that they will be faced with European opposition if they do opt to pursue Malcom, reported by Calciomercato, indicating that Italian giants may reignite their interest.
Brazilian attacker was due to finalise a move to Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer, however, performed a U-turn at the 11th hour, as the Catalan club swooped to land him from Ligue 1 outcast Bordeaux.
However, the South American forward has not enjoyed his tenure at Nour Camp this campaign, with the Catalans boss Ernesto Valverde using him only on Copa del Rey games.
The North London club do not have an abundance of natural wide options in their current first-team game, however, if they are to move for Brazilian forward in January, it seems they’ll need to accelerate their pursuit to beat AS Roma in the race.
