Arsenal have been told to secure services of Leicester City in-form defender Ben Chilwell after the end of the current campaign.
That is the view of former Arsenal star Emmanuel Frimpong.
Ex-Gunners midfielder could never tie down a regular spot in Arsene Wenger’ starting XI, making only16 appearances in four years for the club.
His career in England hasn’t gone wright and he has had several loan spells during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
However, he still has a love for his first club and thinks that they need to strengthen their defensive areas ahead of the next season.
Chilwell has impressed since his breakthrough season with Leicester City last term and earned his first senior England call-up earlier in September and has been on top of the Premier League teams following his fine form for the Foxes.
Arsenal current head-coach Unai Emery will have a limited transfer budget when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer.
But Chilwell is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League and Frimpong believes he would be a perfect fit for the Gunners.
In a tweet on Sunday, he said: “Arsenal should buy chilwell.”
The Gunners have struggled at left-back following the injuries of Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac and pacy defender like Chilwell could help Uani Emery to strengthen his starting XI.
