Arsenal are reportedly prepared to send German star Mesut Ozil out on loan in the January market, with the board even ready to contribute towards Mesut’s wages in order to get rid of him.
The 30-year-old playmaker has been at the club since 2013 following a transfer from Real Madrid, with the German establishing himself as one of the best playmakers in the Premier League during that time frame.
However recently, his form has dipped, something that has lead to the former Real Madrid star falling out of favour at the Emirates.
Mesut has managed to make just two senior team appearances for Unai Emery’s side thus far this year, with one of these coming in the EFL Cup.
Following this, it looks like the north London side are looking to get rid of the midfielder on a temporary basis in the winter market.
According to the Sun, the club are prepared to let him leave on loan during the January transfer window, with Emery’s side even willing to pay some of his £350,000 per week wages in order to ensure a deal gets done.
Considering how average Ozil has been these past few years, it’ll be interesting to see whether any European club is willing to fork out for him during the winter market.
If one thing is for sure, it seems like his time at the Emirates Stadium is slowly coming to an end, especially if this report is anything to go off.
