Gunners have been told that they must pay €100 million if they are going to sign youngster Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein claims that Arsenal and many other interested clubs have been made aware that any deal to sign the Dayot Upamecano will come at a gift.
Ornstein adds that no the Gunners bid is likely to happen in winter, but now they know the price tag, should the Unai Emery’s side pursue a summer deal?
With William Saliba signing in the summer, there is a growing feeling that the two could provide a long-term business to solve North London club’s defensive interests for years to come.
Anyway, football is never such simple, and any deal to join French talent is not going come cheaply either.
RB Leipzig starlet is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the world nowadays, and with a WhoScored rating of 7.21 for his early-season plays, he is also demonstrating to be up there with the best in Germany already.
If Gunner’s transfer budget is enough for a move to sign Upamecano, he should be a priority.
Sokratis and David Luiz, neither of which have been especially productive this season, are not getting any younger and Arsenal would be protecting their future by joining the Frenchman.
