El Desmarque claims that Arsenal have tabled a €20m (£17.3m) bid to make a transfer of Lucas Vasquez from Real Madrid when the winter window reopens. The same source has also considered that North London club will face hard competition from AS Roma and AS Bayer 04 Leverkusen in pursuit of the Galacticos Spanish player.
Lucas Vasquez has had a fall out with his boss Zinedine Zidane after he found himself on the fringes of the Madrid line-up behind the likes of Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior. So, he will likely be sad to part ways with the La Liga leaders in search of more playing time this January.
The 28-year-old has only made eight games for Los Blancos this season, netted one goal in all competitions. He is a result of the Real Madrid youth system and has earlier won the UEFA Champions League three times with his adolescence club.
Spaniard winger has also secured nine international caps for the Spanish national side but is yet to register a goal for his country.
Vasquez has swift feet which help him get past his marker down the wide areas. He is primarily a right-winger who can stretch the pitch for his side by getting to the by-line. The Spain international can also play some smart passes with others around him.
However, Real Madrid winger has failed to break into the world-class bracket during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. So this could be his last opportunity to move to a big club in the hopes of reigniting his future career in European football.
French boss will better off parting ways with Vasquez during the winter transfer window so that he can use the money made from his sale to rebuild his underperforming line-up at the Spanish capital.
