Arsenal are still chasing Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu.
Turkey international defender is being hunted by the Gunners recruitment chief Sven Mislintat to strengthen the North Londoners defensive end ahead of the net season.
Bundesliga outfit Freiburg are reportedly demanding around £35m and Arsenal are favourites to get the deal done in the nearby future.
Soyuncu has revealed that he wants to move to the Emirates Stadium after rejecting offers from Turkish teams.
Speaking last week, Turkish defender said: “I hope I go to Arsenal.
“I really want to play in the Premier League, but everything depends on the team.
“I have a contract [at Freiburg] for three more years.
“Yes, I received bids from some of the teams in Turkey. I would not be able to give the team a name, but I did not accept it.
“My current goal is to achieve greater achievements in a larger team.”
Soyuncu has joined Freiburg back in 2016 and since then has made 55 appearances for the German club.
Arsenal have already signed 20-year-old defender Konstantinos Mavropanos during the January transfer window in order ot strengthen their defensive end it has been followed the summer arrival of Stephan Lichtsteiner who has completed a free transfer from Juventus and Brand Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
